Cap Martinique Day 1 — Full speed towards Spain

Hello everyone,

Everything’s fine on board, even if I’m having a few problems… My hydrogen cell isn’t firing up, and worst of all, all my external displays have gone down! That’s a real pain.

Otherwise, Alex and I really made good headway last night under Code 0, up to 28–30 knots, then we had a rough furling, but the sail is intact and still on board! For the last three hours before passing BXA, we tacked our way to the finish under genoa, and I managed to get a bit of sleep.

At BXA I hoisted my smallest spinnaker because a squall was forecast, but for now I’m struggling, underpowered, and the Pogo has overtaken me. So frustrating!

I sent a message to Quentin but I have serious doubts about the external displays as this has happened before and they found nothing. I understand that things go wrong when there is a lot of water on deck… but it happens often!

Otherwise, everything is fine…
