We launched the seventh Nomad 40 at La Base yesterday afternoon: it’s a real gem!
Her owners, a couple of architects, have clearly put their own designer’s ‘stamp’ on the boat through their careful choice of finishes: a blue dolphin-coloured hull lacquered by the Nautymor team, Corian interior worktops, a deck and floor entirely in Flexiteek, a Momo steering wheel, Besenzoni armchairs, Dedar fabrics…
They had stumbled upon the Nomad 40 No. 3 on display at the Venice Boat Show and were immediately struck by its silhouette. Searching online, they then found our first published 3D renderings, even though the Nomad 40 was still only at the sketch stage, based on Jean-Baptiste Dejeanty’s drawings. Five years later, the owner dug this rendering out of the depths of the internet and gave us a clear brief: exactly the same look for his boat. It was brilliant to photograph the result!
It will remain in the water for three weeks at Larmor-Plage whilst the final preparations are completed, before we ship it to its owners in Croatia. We can’t wait to see it on the Adriatic!
It is a real pride for all our composite, assembly and fitting teams, who have been working for over 8 months to build and launch this boat… And who are already starting on the next one, which will leave our workshops this autumn.
