Amazing news this morning: the JPK 1050s scored a double win finish in Fort-de-France!

Sailing solo, Alex Ozon won the Cap Martinique in both real and corrected time aboard the shipyard’s JPK 1050 “Léon,” after leading for most of the race under pressure from JP, who had been hot on his heels since Portugal… and who is expected to arrive this afternoon (French time) to take second place on the podium. An incredible performance by Alex, who sailed right in the midst of the crewed boats.

In the double-handed category, Éric Guigné and Maxime Paul, aboard the JPK 1050 “Ose,” claimed victory on corrected time! The Pogo RC, which had arrived the day before, had a very high rating (due to its decision to use a lot of sail area) and had to pay eleven hours to Ose’s crew… Who arrived eight hours later and thus claimed victory!

Congratulations to these sailors who crossed the Atlantic at breakneck speeds, taking a particularly southerly route—something rarely seen! We are now awaiting the arrival of Jean-Pierre on “PersaiVert” this afternoon, sailing solo, and that of Régis and Clémence Vian on “Laudato.”
