The construction of JPK Composites' first motorboat, the JPK Nomad 40, has begun!<\/p>

The hull plug that will be used to make the production mould is soon to be coated.<\/p>

All of the CNC-cut stations were aligned, then the whole thing was lathing and is now covered with souplex (bendable plywood).<\/p>

Shimming and stratification are on the agenda for the coming weeks, as is the shaping of the bow.<\/p>

It is really exciting to see the birth of the shape in full scale: knife-edge water entries, progressive V, redan, inverted sheer, flared planking ... the hull in reverse is impressive!<\/p>
